Akin Babayigit
Co-founder & COO, Tripleot Studio
Akin Babayigit is a serial entrepreneur and an active angel investor. He is currently the founder & COO of Tripledot studios, one of the fastest growing mobile gaming companies in the world, which was recently valued at over $1.4 Bn. In just 4 years, Tripledot grew to generate several hundred million dollars per year in revenue, and currently entertains over 50 million people every month. Tripledot was recently named as the #1 fastest growing European company by FT (https://www.ft.com/ft1000-2023), as well as being named as the fastest growing Tech business in the UK, in the annual “UK Tech Awards”, sponsored by PwC.
Along with Tripledot, Akin was also a co-founder of Luna Labs, a B2B SaaS solution which converted Unity projects into HTML5 seamlessly. Luna labs grew to reach several million dollars in MRR, and was acquired by IronSource in 2021, only two years after its founding.
Previously, Akin was head of business operations at Activision Blizzard King, and played a key role in creating a brand new revenue stream for King’s titles with adversiting. Prior to King, Akin spent 5 years at Facebook, where he helped start the Facebook Audience Network, and was its global head of sales. At Facebook, Akin also led the European Games Partnerships team. Akin’s career also includes senior positions at Skype, Peak Games, and McKinsey & Company.
Akin also is an active angel investor, having been a shareholder in several successful companies such as Dream games (valued at $2.75b), Gram games (exit to Zynga), Spyke games, Masomo (exit to Miniclip) among many others.
Akin holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Yale University, and BS in Electrical & Computer Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
