Richard is CEO of Allica Bank, a digital challenger bank built solely to meet the needs of established SMEs that has scaled to nearly £4bn of lending and over £5bn of deposits since launching in 2020. Named the UK’s fastest-growing company by The Sunday Times in 2024 and ranked second in its 2025 Tech list, Allica also topped Deloitte’s UK Fast 50 in 2023 and 2024, placing seventh in 2025. It has been recognised by The Financial Times and Sifted as one of Europe’s fastest-growing businesses, and recently announced its latest funding round valuing the company close to $1.2bn. Richard was previously COO at Revolut, as it scaled from 5 million to 15 million customers and launched in various new markets, and he was the inaugural CEO at OakNorth, developing its business model, technology and regulatory license application.
